NATURAL WONDERS OF THE WORLD

There are many spectacular natural wonders on our planet. One of the most famous is the Grand Canyon in the United States. It is a huge canyon carved by the Colorado River over millions of years. The canyon is about 446 km long, up to 29 km wide, and over 1,800 metres deep. Visitors can hike along the rim, take a helicopter tour, or raft down the river. The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset.

Another incredible wonder is the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. It is the largest coral reef system in the world, stretching over 2,300 km. It is home to thousands of species of fish, corals, and other marine life. Tourists can go snorkelling or scuba diving to explore the colourful underwater world. Unfortunately, climate change is threatening this natural wonder.

In Vietnam, Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its thousands of limestone islands and caves. The bay covers an area of over 1,500 square kilometres. Visitors can take boat cruises, explore floating villages, and enjoy fresh seafood. The scenery is so beautiful that it has inspired many poets and artists.

These natural wonders remind us of the beauty and power of nature. It is important to protect and preserve them for future generations.
