11. Listen and Read
Dialogue:
Nam: Hi, Lan. You look thoughtful. What's on your mind?
Lan: I'm reading about Vietnamese lifestyles in the past and now. It's fascinating!
Nam: Really? What's the biggest difference?
Lan: I think it's the pace of life. In the past, people lived a slow-paced life in the countryside. They spent time on farming, weaving, and going to traditional markets. Life was simple and peaceful.
Nam: That sounds nice. What about modern life?
Lan: Now everything is fast-paced. People live in cities, use smartphones, shop online, and spend a lot of time on social media.
Nam: So which lifestyle do you prefer?
Lan: I enjoy living in a modern city because it's convenient. But I also love visiting my grandparents in the countryside. It helps me relax.
Nam: I agree. My grandparents still live in a rural area. They keep many traditional customs. I enjoy learning about them.
Lan: That's great! We should preserve our traditions while enjoying modern life.
