Skills 1: Reading & Speaking
11. Reading: A Memorable Experience
Read the passage about a memorable experience:
Last year, I had the most unforgettable experience of my life. I traveled to Sapa, a beautiful town in northern Vietnam, with my family. We have never been to Sapa before, so we were very excited. The journey by train took about 8 hours, but the scenery along the way was amazing. When we arrived, we were amazed by the beautiful mountains and rice terraces. We have visited many places in Vietnam, but Sapa is the most beautiful place we have ever seen. We stayed in a homestay with a local family. They were very friendly and cooked delicious food for us. I have tried many Vietnamese dishes, but the food in Sapa was the best. We also went hiking in the mountains and visited local markets. I have never seen such colorful traditional clothes before! This trip was truly memorable, and I will never forget it.
