11. Listening: A Teen's Health Journey
Pre-listening: What challenges do teenagers face with their health? Have you ever tried to change a bad habit?
Listen to a passage about Minh's health journey and answer the questions.
Listening passage:
Minh is a 15-year-old student. Last year, he used to eat a lot of junk food and spend hours playing video games. He never did exercise and often stayed up late. As a result, he felt tired all the time and gained 10 kilograms.
One day, his mother took him to see a doctor. The doctor said: 'If you continue this lifestyle, you may develop serious health problems. You should change your habits now.'
Minh decided to make a change. He started eating more fruits and vegetables. He joined a football club and played sports every afternoon. He also went to bed before 10 p.m. After three months, Minh lost 8 kilograms and felt much healthier. He says: 'If you try your best, you can achieve anything. A healthy lifestyle is the best gift you can give yourself.'

| Body 2 | Describe your exercise routine and sleep schedule |
| Concluding sentence | Explain how these habits benefit your life |
Sample paragraph:
I try to maintain healthy habits every day. For breakfast, I eat oatmeal with fruits and drink a glass of milk. I avoid junk food and always drink at least two litres of water. After school, I play basketball with my friends for about an hour. I make sure to go to bed before 10 p.m. so I can get enough sleep. These habits help me feel energetic and focus better in class. If you want to be healthy, you should start with small changes like eating well and exercising regularly.
