Vietnamese Cuisine: A World Favourite

Vietnamese food is loved by people all over the world. It is famous for its fresh ingredients, balanced flavours, and healthy cooking methods.

Pho is the most famous Vietnamese dish. It is a noodle soup made with beef or chicken broth, rice noodles, and fresh herbs. People eat pho for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Each region in Vietnam has its own style of pho. Hanoi pho has a clear broth, while Saigon pho has a sweeter taste and comes with more herbs.

Banh mi is another popular Vietnamese dish. It is a sandwich made with a crispy baguette, filled with meat, pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, and sauce. Banh mi is a perfect example of Vietnamese fusion cuisine, combining French and Vietnamese cooking. It is quick, delicious, and affordable.

Spring rolls are a favourite snack in Vietnam. There are two main types: fresh spring rolls (goi cuon) and fried spring rolls (cha gio). Fresh spring rolls are made with rice paper, shrimp, herbs, and vermicelli noodles, served with dipping sauce. Fried spring rolls are crispy and golden, filled with minced pork and mushrooms.

Vietnamese cuisine also has many other delicious dishes like bun bo Hue (spicy beef noodles), com tam (broken rice), and banh xeo (Vietnamese crepe). The food is not too oily and uses lots of fresh vegetables and herbs. Vietnamese people believe that food should balance the five tastes: salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and bitter. This is what makes Vietnamese food so special and healthy.
