33. Listening Passage: A School Music Performance
A School Music Performance
Read the transcript of an announcement about a school performance. In a real listening test, you would hear this spoken.
Announcer: Good morning, everyone. I have an important announcement about our school's annual music performance.
This year's show will take place on Friday, June 15th, at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium. The theme is 'Music Around the World'.
There will be four main performances. First, the school choir will sing three folk songs from Vietnam. Next, the guitar club will play some American rock music. The third performance is a classical piano piece by a talented student named Lan. She will play a piece by Chopin. Finally, the dance group will perform a traditional Japanese dance.
Tickets cost 50,000 dong each, and all the money will go to charity. You can buy tickets from your class teacher. Please come and support your friends!
Last year, we raised 10 million dong for children in need. We hope to raise even more this year. We are also looking for volunteers to help decorate the stage and welcome the audience. If you want to help, please sign up at the music room.
Thank you for your attention. We hope to see you there!
