11. What is the Past Simple Tense?
Past Simple Tense (Thì quá khứ đơn)
Cách dùng:
- Diễn tả hành động đã xảy ra và kết thúc trong quá khứ
- Ex: I volunteered last week.
- Diễn tả chuỗi hành động trong quá khứ
- Ex: We cleaned the park and planted trees.

| Negative | S + didn't + V | I didn't volunteer yesterday. |

33. Adding -ed to Regular Verbs
| Rule | Example |
|---|---|
| Thêm 'ed' | help → helped, clean → cleaned |
| Thêm 'd' (tận cùng bằng 'e') | donate → donated, provide → provided |
| Đổi 'y' → 'ied' (phụ âm + y) | study → studied, try → tried |
| Nhân đôi phụ âm + 'ed' | stop → stopped, plan → planned |
