Asking about houses:

  • Where do you live?
  • What type of house do you live in?
  • How many rooms are there?
  • What is your favourite room?
  • Is there a garden?

Describing your house:

  • I live in a house/flat/villa.
  • There are ... rooms.
  • My favourite room is ...
  • There is a ... in the ...
  • My room is ... (big/small/cozy)

A: Talking about where you live

Tom: Where do you live, Anna?

Anna: I live in a flat in the city centre.

Tom: How many rooms are there?

Anna: There are four rooms: a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom.

Tom: What is your favourite room?

Anna: My bedroom. It's small but cozy. There is a bed, a desk, and a wardrobe.

Tom: Is there a garden?

Anna: No, there isn't. But there is a balcony.
