Less Soot, Cleaner Surroundings

Black carbon is part of the soot released when fuels burn incompletely. It contributes to warming, so reducing unnecessary sources matters. Start with actions that your community can organise. First, avoid burning household rubbish in the open. Find out how local waste collection works and share accurate information with neighbours. Next, support cleaner ways to travel when they are available, such as walking short distances or using public transport. Finally, report problems and discuss practical improvements with the people responsible for local services. A useful campaign explains both the action and the reason behind it. Join our student information project and help turn clear ideas into everyday practice.
