Write an opinion essay (120–150 words) about limiting teenagers’ screen time.

I believe families should agree on reasonable limits for recreational screen time. First, clear limits can help teenagers leave time for homework, exercise and face-to-face conversations. For example, keeping phones away during meals gives everyone a chance to share their day. Second, discussing a rule together may reduce arguments because both parents and teenagers understand its purpose. However, a single limit should not ignore school tasks. Students sometimes need a computer for research or a group meeting, so families should distinguish study from entertainment. Teenagers should explain these needs in advance and review the arrangement with their parents. In conclusion, a flexible rule developed through discussion is more useful than a rule nobody understands. It encourages responsibility while recognising that digital tools are part of learning.
